Well if you hadn't said anything I don't think I would have been able to tell

Good work on creating something with a little more .. eh ... ooompf!! <-- technical term of course.

Fireworks always seemed magical to me as a kid and this brings back some great memories. I like how they get progressively bigger towards the top. They all look so clear too and I know night scenes can be hard to get.

oompf!! hehe.. it's quite easy to photograph fire works actually.. it's just that individual fireworks are not as impressive as something like this that represents several over time.. it would have been nice to capture some foreground/framing elements as well.. can’t always get what you want..

I would really like to have photographed fireworks over water.. which is common in the more fantastic firework photos (due to the reflections and unique lighting of the framing elements.. do people use the phrase "framing elements"?.. well I think I will keep using it anyway.. haha)..

thank you for your thoughtful comments as always!

cheers!

I suppose that is true. More fireworks do create a larger impact. I like the fact that you are starting to think more about what you want to capture (or at least expressing it), since I didn't think you gave yourself enough credit in the early days on dA, hehe.

Yeah, I thnk people use that term 'framing elements'. It sounds good to me ... you know I love making terms up myself though, hehe.

You are most welcome Eric! I hope you find the fireworks over water that you are after.

I have a perpetual inferiority complex.. I think.. it comes from not being able to please my parents.. I guess it's good though because my photography is improving and I got into med school.. haha

Cheers!

I can understand that. Well, you know, a lot of people suffer from that from time to time. I know I do. Parents have a knack for making you feel worse too.

See exactly! Med school! That's a big deal. So 'up yours' to all the non-believers ... lol! Don't let anyone make you feel bad ... It's your life and your choices.

I hope I can bypass the whole making my children feel like worthless unwanted guests who can never appease me.. I tend to think that I won't.. may be the opposite.. they may become hellions because they walk all over me.. hopefully I will be able to strike a balance there..

haha "up yours!!" haha.. you nailed it..

cheers!

Eric

That really wouldn't be good for them but since you think about stuff like that ... I'm sure it won't be a problem for you. Hellions ... hehe ... that would be a nightmare. It must be a difficult job trying to get the balance between providing guidance and allowing freedom of choice. It wouldn't be good dealing with the extremes of either of those two! I'm certain it's all worth the struggle though.

Hehe, it is a good cuss. Just remember that next time someone wants to put you down!

Nicely done And that those are four pictures in one - that only means you shot four pictures of something not easily shot The combination looks very good.
