Description wind last month blowing straight across, uncovered these bittersweet branches and made some little drift patterns in the snow.

Just an awesome shot, my dear....You were at the right time and the right moment....Just love your eye for these images...I just the contrast of the white o/t snow and the red o/t bittersweet beriies....And then the swirls and curls of these branches do return in the snow as drift patterns, making it as one..... ......'ssssss

Thanks so much my friend Right moment for sure.I look at most things as a series of visuals.
If something catches my eye I try to frame it as I think I would paint it.Selective focus. If I took this shot from further back,it would
lose something.

It's getting warmer now Snow is mostly gone except for areas mostly shaded and along river where the current is slow.I even saw some buds on some of the trees.Could spring finally be here I'm so excited for the color to come back

Here it's similar weather... but fortunatelly we already harvested butter-bur flowers (they are edible here and people eat it as the first vegetable of Spring). The snow came back today, but already melted again
Can't wait to see how far nature is in Nagoya. The cherry-blossom must be in full bloom now there

Spring can't be far off,i'm hoping! People use the plant here for migraines,I'm not sure what part of the plant. It's an unusual and beautiful plant.
Cherry blossoms are gorgeous.I hope they are when you get there.

Oh, that sounds interesting. I heard that the root, if you extract the poison from it, can be a pain-relief and also a very potent medicine (antihistaminica) against allergy, hayfever and inflammation.
Here people eat the flowers (fried or in soup). They have a bitter but very pleasant taste... and also later the stems... you peal them, cook them and fry them later, with some soysauce or mentsuyu. Very delicious. I especiallt love the smell of the flowers, when you cut them fresh
