History

Kithood:
Born in litter of 2 to Palepelt(mother) and Brackenear(father) Coldkit had a relatively rough start. Well her sibling Warmkit spent his time in the nursery playing with the other kits, Coldkit was trapped in the medicine cats den. Unlike her brother Coldkit was the runt of the litter requiring constant supervision from the medicine cat due to her frail state. As moons past the small kit’s health improved allowing her to join her brother in the nursery. Yet unless she was sleeping the she-cat would be fallowing the medicine cat around camp the clan. Once 6 moons had passed it was obvious to the whole clan that Coldkit was destined to become the medicine cat.

Apprenticeship:

Mentored by the Blossomfur a wise, but old she-cat Coldpaw absorbed the medicine cat’s every word. Her interactions with Star clan where short as the ancient warriors would speak to her mentor giving the she-cat only fleeting chances to listen to the stars endless babbles. This bothered her to no end, but her mentor’s reassurance that in time her connection would strength seemed to calm Coldpaw. Never very close with Warmkit as a kit Coldpaw found herself becoming close friends with her brother as it seemed the brash tom was always coming to her den with a variety of injuries. As the young cats moved closer to adulthood Brackenear was killed during a fight with some wondering strays, he died from his injuries soon after coming back to camp. Despite her best efforts Coldpaw couldn’t save her father, a failure her mother would never forgive. Not as close to her father as her mother or brother Coldpaw didn’t let this failure hold her back from becoming a medicine cat. She just didn’t feel the same type of lost her family where suffering through. From that point on her mother rarely ever spoke to her, they only interacted through confrontation.

Warriorhood:
Once given her warrior name, Blossomfur joined the elders den. For almost two seasons things where fairly uneventful, Palepelt seemed to vanish into the crowd of cats deciding to just ignore her daughter. Luckly Warmpath still made time for his sister, which helped Coldleaf push the complete loss of her mother into the back of her mind. The rather tranquil clan was hit with tragedy as seeming overnight practical all the elders and a few warriors fell deathly ill. Coldleaf didn’t sleep for days trying to stop the spread, and to save those who were already affected by the illness. Though some cats did recover Coldleaf had lost her mentor, brother, and mother within the span of a few days. Coldleaf tends to avoid talking about that incident.
