Biography:

His father was originally from the west coast of Canada travling the world as a young man before he had to settle down. Seemed fate had decided it time when he cut infront of vance's mother in line at McDonald's. The busy women had 0 tolerance for this and instantly picked a fight with the senseless tourist. They were inseparable ever since.

Raised in his mother's home town in Japan for the first bit of his life. Vance experienced a pretty dramatic change when his father was offered a well paying job with a fisher on the northern coast. Not wanting to be so far apart the family moved to Canada. Vance being so young handled the change well, quickly adapting to his new home. A mama's boy from the start Vance rarely left his her side. As a result starting school was a crying "MOMMY DONT GO DON'T YOU LOVE ME" nightmare for all parties involved. Never the most sociable kid Vance just silently slithered through his school years with the occasinal friend here or there. Taking a particular interest in myths and horror stories a like.

Early teens is when the skittish boy's problems really started to shine. Once while out of town the tween's home was broken into and his dog was killed along with most of his family's valuables being stolen. From that point Vance had issues sleeping despite his parents reassurance, he was always worried the door wasn't properly locked. Lack of sleep lead to a sour look every day at school which resulting him him afriming the loner status

Things got complicated during Vance's last year of highschool when Vance's mother caught her husband cheating. Heart broken she packed up her things including her son and moved back to Japan. This change Vance didn't handle as well. He felt alone, he felt more like a dog a couple fought over after a break up. Never really able to find his place in his old " home" town, he's now 20 with a job he hates so he can pay rent and buy more cloves of garlic.

Personality:

"You have a wild imagination" a saying Vance has constantly heard throughout his life. Making up stories about monsters in his closet, people peeking into his window, and a stranger living in his house, the problem was Vance really believed those stories. A friendly enough guy, Vance really enjoys the company of others, he wants banter and childish teasing just his finicky nature tends to put others off. Hard working, if it's something the curly head shut in puts his mind to he will stop at nothing to complete his epic quest. Driven heavily by fear Vance struggles with being alone, hanging out in the lobby when he can't sleep, when the floors weirdly creak, or he swears he saw someone in the window. Because of this he clings to the few friends he manages to make, convinced that they'll get hurt that he needs to protect them just like they'll protect him. Very much a man who doesn't see the glass as half empty, but instead sees it being chucked at nose breaking speed directly at a you.
