I'm going to fave it and use it.
I can't tell you how much I'm annoyed by ignorant people who think that their way is better than my way.
I love meat. I love animals. I AM an animal, for heaven's sake.
I can't stand cruelty to animals but I don't feel ashamed at all when I eat meat.
Great stamp!

Just wondering if you have ever been to a slaughterhouse? Or seen footage of how animals suffer there? Even meat eaters can demand that animals can be treated better in their short lives. If you still want to eat them, you should AT LEAST take responsibilty for helping them to have lives without the violent abuse they suffer through in factory farms now.

Yes, I've been to a slaughterhouse. In fact, my family owned a traditional one for years. And our animals were treated with humanity and killed with less pain for them as possible. I am completely against the abuse animals suffer in moder slaughterhouses and farms, I support and work with various animalist groups here in Italy. The fact that I decide to act like nature intended, or at least my nature, and eat meat, does not give you the right to assume I'm indifferent to how much animals suffer nowadays.

If you really loved animals then you wouldn't support eating meat. And just because you supposedly treated them with care doesn't make a difference compared to all of the factory farms out there who don't.
The best way for the abuse to stop would be if everyone stopped eating meat or at least demanded that the animals be treated with a little dignity before they were slaughtered.
Vegetarianism is actually a healthier diet, so I don't know what you are talking about when you say that it is your "nature." Ever heard of mad cow disease? Or heart attacks? Drug-resistent diseases are coming around because farm animals are pumped full of antibiotics to keep them from getting sick in their stressful confinement. People then injest all those antibiotics when they eat animals flesh - meat.
A lot of top athletes are vegetarians. It's also better for the environment.
I know some people think meat isn't harmful, because that's what the meat industry wants you to think. But did you know that 1 hamburger contains the remains of about 200 different cows? When something like Ecoli breaks out it is so hard for the government to track it because of that fact. Same with mad cow diesase. Vegetarianism doesn't carry so many risks in terms of dangerous contamination.
Did you know that slaughter house workers have been caught picking up meat of the floor? And adding it to the meat to be processed?

Obviously you think that just because people eat meat they are either stupid or ignorant or just plainly indifferent. I have news for you. Veggies are harmful, never heard of OGM? Pesticide? Bacterial infection carried by plants? Toxins? Never heard of radiation, Chernobil doesn't ring a bell?
Everything humanity is doing right now is wrong, we are polluting the environment every step we take, me not eating my aunt's salami isn't going to make a difference. I'm doing what I can to have people stop drugging animals and torturing them, flaying them for furs, killing them for fun, destroying forests, pouring venom in the ocean and everything else that is bad and inhuman.
But you can just stop trying to make me change my opinion about meat, because frankly I've heard all your arguments before and I can easily respond to any of them. I respect you not wanting to eat meat, you should respect me for taking a different road. Eating meat is my nature, is what humans are made for, our ancestors were eating meat and veggies and I'm not stopping doing this. What I'm trying to stop is abuse against animals and the wasting of resources precious for everyone.
And now I'm sorry but I've more importa things to do than have this conversation for the hundredth time. Bye!

SO basically your morality is ruled by your guts. Do you like dog and cat meat too?
How about monkeys and tigers? Or horses? People eat those too. So long as the meat is tasty right?
Well not on my plate.
Plants don't run away when you approach them with a slaughter house device.

Yes I eat horses too. And rabbits. And little birds. And kangaroos, once.
Plants suffer too, you know. Only because you can't actually hear them scream doesn't mean that a tomato plant does not suffer when it's deprived of its fruits, its leaves, its branches. When is full of crap to take away bugs, of polluted water from the earth and I could go on forever. You are eating a living organism, you're just pretending it doesn't suffer so you can rant about what I eat.
Do you condemn tigers because they eat newborn antelopes? No, you don't, even if it's sad and horrible to see. Because it's their nature. It's our nature to eat meat, we've done it for centuries. This doesn't give us the right to abuse of the animals we eat and make them suffer more than is necessary, but it doesn't give you the right to judge my morality because frankly is just plain ipocrisy.
You can have what you want on your plate, do not even try to take away what's on mine. But at this point I'm not even sure you read what I wrote before, so there's no point in me trying to explain myself some more.

Plants don't have a brain or nervous system, so they can't feel pain.
Gee, since it's in your "nature" then, why don't you go try to catch a deer, wild boar, or a buffalo with your bare hands then? And why dont you try to kill it and eat it raw, with your bare hands? Since it's in your "nature."
We are the most advances species, even more advanced then tigers - we can tell right from wrong and we can stop slaughter house cruelty.

Humans have been eating meat since the cave man ages. It's completely natural. You can eat meat and love animals. I mean look at all of the ancient tribes that worship animals, but eat meat also. Eating meat does not mean you are a born killer. Animals are on this planet for a reason. Some are our guardians and friends, while others are there for us to eat. We gain proteins from meat, and yes I know some vegetarians give the excuse that there are pills you can take for that, but come on! Who wants to drink pills everyday to get the proteins? I'd rather stick to meat. It's essential to the transfer of RNA to DNA. Without proteins the messenger RNA won't be able to transfer itself. This is all part of the RNA replication system in our bodies.
Vegetarians get sick a lot more then people who eat the right amount of each food everyday. They are more weak then the average human being who eats both meat and vegetables. In order to maintain a healthy lifestyle one must go by the food pyramid, which OMG has meat on it, to stay healthy and productive.
Now, I do not have anything against vegetarians, but science itself does prove how meat is an important food group in our natural lifestyle.
Excuse me for my rant, but the above person who says otherwise got me angry.
Also, intelligence is based on problem solving and how one thinks. Not how one solves math problems. Einstein was a genius in math but sucked in reading. One can be geniuses in one subject but complete dumb asses in another. I, for one, am still going to school and learning. I have really high grades in Science and English, but am a little weak in math. (Still passed 9th grade Algebra with a B though)
Again I apologize for my extremely large rant. I'm just trying to prove a point.

Hi there!
I'm not trying to contradict you, but I would like to add a little notes here as being a vegetarian
I am a vegetarian and a sports person as well I'm just writing this because I saw you writing that we have to eat pills to gain proteins and we are weaker and such, but that's not true (at least in my case it isn't). I take swimming everyday, I take Kendo lessons, I have PE for 180 minutes a week, and I run every morning and do exercises. I've been doing this for years and I've only gotten sick once.
I do not take pills because I get enough proteins from vegetables and tofu (also I'm not allowed to take protein pills because I'm an athlete, but still.)
Just telling you somethings
And Einstein was also a vegetarian (but, in his case, the only thing that was maybe a "sideffect" was his hairdo. ... but I don't think because he was a vegetarian
)
And sorry for my large note... I wasn't trying to contradict you but... (does this sound reasonable?) the vegetarian inside me wanted her voice to be heard

oh it's no problem at all. I understand, but I still feel there are some things in meat that can't be found anywhere else. So that's just me, if you want to continue being vegetarian that's perfectly fine. I can see you balance yourself very well, I was mostly referring to the extremists. Such as a few teenagers at my school eat nothing but fruits and some veggies and are in risk of their health.
It's just important to keep certain balances in diets. Same goes for extreme meat eaters too. Too much meat can be bad for you. A friend of mine also takes pills everyday, etc.
So basically I'm talking about extremists that do not take care of their diet.

Animals rule. That's why I'm proud be ONE of them, and therefore just as entitled to eat meat as the rest of them are.
Humans are basically like bears. We're omnivores and can eat just about anything. Though, bears don't eat that much meat, and we probably shouldn't eat as much meat as we do.
Fish is good, but since tardos like to dump mercury in the water, that can even be dangerous D:

Yes I've seen the PETA videos. The thing is they usually use the same footage from a single slaughterhouse that doesn't exist anymore. Animals usually get killed by stun-guns before anything else happens to them.
But yes, I agree that there are slaughterhouses that could use improvements, which is why I don't eat low-quality meat like from fast food joints. (I heard stress hormones affect meat quality)

I wonder if that person would yell at the Native Americans for eating meat, even though they, you know, worshiped the animals they hunted and used every part of their bodies.

No, i wouldnt tell at the native americans. I did them at school and i think that it is a fine way. But we dont do that do we?
Ever read the book wolf brother? I think you should. The people in there use every part of it and the animal roams free they just find it and kill it. We should do that. We shouldnt get others to kill for us and waste whatevers left over from the mass killings. We should do it ourself and leave nothing.
Anyone who does that will get my full respect.
DONT HIDE THIS COMMENT. ITS MAKING A POINT, NOT STARTING A ARGUMENT.

Actually, they do use every part of animals used in farms. You don't honestly think we use just the meat, do you? The leftovers like bones, hair, blood and horns are used to make gelatin, bleaching agents, fire extinguisher foam, sealants, paintbrushes, asphalt, and a whole bunch of other stuff.

yes, but not correctly.
the animals should be in the wild, not in farms.
if we want one we shouldnt go down to the shops we should go into the forest, kill the ONE we need. then pay full respect to its spirit and use every single part of it, not leaving ANY parts out.
THAT IS THE ONLY WAY I WILL ACCEPT.

Look, all animals just want the quickest, easiest meal they can get. That's why carnivores are opportunists. We just took this opportunity to domesticate animals as food. Seems pretty natural to me.

lol yeah, just look at wolves, they always target the sick or weak animal, then they seperate it from the herd, then gang up on it and kill it. That's why dogs make good herding animals, we just bred out the urge to bite.
