this is really beautiful, and it feels like theres your emotion in it. I like how the hands grab your attention and appear warm and comforting, like some ray of hope, next to the dark contrast of the grey scale.

hot action. i love the subtelty of the transition between the figure and the background. the graininess is pretty sweet too. and i'm definitely gonna start saying snoogles.

interesting, you maintained a greyscale upper, and left the colour in the lower part of the image (head/hands). the grain is a nice touch, but in the full view it seems over used. the bordering is also nice, but unlike the other image (teddy), i'd nearly close off the border on this one, make it a definate colour. when you're going for colours like this (dark greyscale tones/blacks) a white border can bring out the contrast in the shot completely, really set the viewer off on where to look. nice job.

this is really heart wrenching when i look at it and i'm not really sure why. it looks like the dull aching sadness that is so familiar to me. i believe that art is the ability to capture emotion for the artist and surface emotion for the viewer. based alone on that it was able to make me *feel* something, i think it very well done.

This shot is purely beautiful, and excels in the category of abstract portraiture. The monochrome style of the image works well to highlight the hands, which have obviously been excluded from the desaturation process. The part I like most about this photo (apart from the composition and subject matter of course) is the grain effect you have used for the photograph. Purely a great shot. Well done. KM
