Plus it's a more sinister result than her simply being eaten.
Unless she's then sent back to the real world as her spy, with her buttons becoming her irises/pupils, where she becomes one of the popular girls and becomes a blonde (or something) and starts sending them all to the Other World as food.

Ikr! I loved the story! A long time ago I found a rock with a hole in the middle at the beach, and after watching the movie and reading the book, that rock is now one of my most prized possessions haha!
