my submission for this contest for BUKOWSKl--
i did decided to do the character MarrowEater with a bit of artistic liberty if that's okay! i made his horns a bit branchier and made him a bit more vampireish to go with the theme.
i used bloodborne/darksouls as an inspiration, so it appears like a 'final boss' sort of deal here
also, i know Marrow doesn't bleed actual blood, but maybe it's not his ???
also let me know if this needs a mature content; i don't see many gore drawings getting contents anymore so idk if it's still necessary or not

This piece is so phenomenal and absolutely fitting for Marrow! The amount of technique and effort displayed here is just breath taking, and I love seeing the use of artistic liberty! I get the final boss feel intensely and I Am Loving It.
The mystery blood looks very amazing, really makes me wonder who it belonged to and who unfortunate they must've been to walk into Marrow's domain. And just, your style and the atmosphere is just so perfect. I love it when the art has like a world of its own, its just so awesome.
I was originally leaning towards more outright guts type of gore in this contest but I could not ignore your entry at all, it's just too pristine!

thank you so much! i was definitely considering adding guts dropping from his stomach in this, but i felt like it'd distract too much with the composition.
like i said in the other comment, it was a lot of fun working on this and a nice break from commissions to use artistic liberty with characters that aren't mine uwu
