View Live VersionWhile anyone can mess around and preview what they want their gallery directory to look like, you must purchase the password here for 300 points or $3.50 through PayPal (note me) in order to receive the codes that will allow you to install this to your profile.
Special thanks to Celvas for helping me with a tricky part of the code.
how to use:
Please note that you must be a premium member in order to use a Profile Directory.
1. Purchase the password needed to get your codes by clicking the button on the right. Make sure to extract the files from the zip folder.
2. Go to my Gallery Directory Creator page.
3. Customize your directory as you wish and enter the password into the box to see your codes.
4. Follow the steps in this tutorial to learn how to install the directory onto your page.
rules for use:
1. Please do not send the password or the codes to anyone else. Only the person who purchased the password may use the codes from the Gallery Directory Creator. However, if you have multiple accounts or groups, you may create several directories for these accounts without additional payment.
2. The Gallery Directory Creator cannot be used to make commissions, requests, gifts, etc. for anyone else, whether it is for commercial or non-commercial purposes.
3. You can modify the codes however you would like, but only for your own use.
4. Credit on your page is highly appreciated, but not necessary.

Yeah, if you click on the input boxes for the colors, you can pick any color that you want.

So instead of submitting this as a literature deviation, you would submit it as a group journal. You can then use the Featured Journal widget to display the journal on the group's front page.

Yes. The difference is that you would post the code as a group journal and feature that on the page instead of using a Featured Deviation widget. Rising-Artists has something similar to it on the front page, if you want to check that out.

Oh, another thing... how do I make it pretty much just like that journal from Rising-Artists? I want it to be text that appears to the side instead of an image. So when they hover over, they can see a short paragraph.
I might be having some trouble. I put the html (in the group's journal) and css (in the skin) in and it just looks funny in the preview. But maybe it comes all together once the "Widget" coding is implemented? I usually like to try before asking, but I figured I may as well since I'm asking about the text thing.

I coded the Rising-Artists journal differently so that it could handle text instead of images. This gallery one only works with images, but I can try to create another CSS creator that would be more like the Rising-Artists one.
Ahh, I believe dA is having issues with the group journal previews. Try actually submitting it to the group. The journal should look fine in the real journal.

Yes, it's the ability to just edit text when needed that I would like to have. I may just play around with it and see if I can get it right. I thought of just removing the image tag and putting the text there. Maybe? Hmm...
Okay, I thought that may be the case. I just need to complete what I want each button to be before submitting. Thanks! I'll keep an eye out if you release a tutorial on how to edit this code, or another CSS creator for the one that matches the Rising-Artists one.
