Description
Notice: I am very thorough with my investigations. I don't choose any image if I doubt of the subspecies it belongs, and all the images I chose are all in the Creative Commons License.Decided to split the species because the file was getting bigger and… who wants to compare Leopard with Tigers?
Well, I still need pictures from the mentioned leopards and other ones, like the Arabian, the Javan and the Indian.

This is incredibly helpful! I've searched everywhere for this kind of thing but I couldn't find it. Maybe you could make one for pumas/ cougars/ mountain lions too. There's a lot of different subspecies of that animal but it's really hard to find charts that compare them.

Gold! These comparison sheets are amazing, great job! This is how I know I have seen african leopards 99% of the times. My only doubts are about srilankan and arabian, mostly because the individuals look young to me at least (but I don't know, really, this is why I ask) Are they really adults?

Aw, sadly I am not to be trusted. I am no expert u,u
The pictures were fruit of my sub-species search, but not all info was available, at least 5 years ago when I did it.

Thank you a lot for this! When you just type in 'leopard' or 'tiger' it doesn't really help at all if you want a specific species. This is informative and has excellent pictures to match. Thanks again!

I will just share the pictures I found about them, I tried to make them alike like if it was the same leopard in each picture
Arabian Leopard= [link]
Indian Leopard= [link]
I couldn't find the Javan Leopard since I wasn't sure how it looked and many of the pictures I found were just about African leopards.
I am guessing you will need the original URL's to credit?
you have no idea how far I searched for that Arabian Leopard, I had to translate it into Arabian letters then went to the google arabian URL and searched there, really helpful actually.

The Javanese Leopard (along with Javanese Tiger and maybe Javanese Clouded Leopard) are already been extinct for quiet some time. Java has no extant big cats nowadays. Although some Javanese people would some time tell story of seeing one, they usually cant prove it or maybe see other animal/species of cat.
The most recent story is when the Merapi erupted in 2011. Some local folks in one village in one of the valley of Merapi reported to see one tiger with one cub. But as usual they cant prove it with photograph or anything.
Even if the big cats of Java somehow still exist, the people of Java would instantly kill any who dare to show up to the local people. That how they became extinct the first time.

It IS a different species. Leopards are Panthera Pardus and Snow leopard is Panthera Uncia.
Yeah, I know, they look so different on closer inspection ö

Soon as I read that, I felt like jumping up going "oooh, ooh! I wanna compare leopards and tigers!"
In all seriousness though, this is great I'm definitely going to keep this and your other guides handy if I ever draw tigers/leopards/anything-else-you-make-a-guide-for
Thanks for making these!

x)
I had the Tiger and Leopard subspecies on the same table, but it was, indeed, getting monstruosly big! you can always save both tables and stitch them together ;D (now, if we could get a tiger and a leopard in the same room for comparison, yes, I would like that very much also, as long as they behave with each other )
Isn't it amazing? all these little differences? we can only wish making such delightful differences in our drawings! each of them are all so unique!
They were interesting to do, and I feel glad to share 8) enjoy!

Ah! That's because I have it in the Feline Comparison!
Snow leopards aren't the same species…they both belong to the Genus Panthera, but snow leopards are Panthera Uncia while these Leopards are subspecies of Panthera Pardus ;D *feline nerd*
