...in my opinion, nintendo is getting a little stingy when coming to zelda stuff......not offensively of course. i just wish an anime or film came out. i would rush over to the cinema STRAIGHT AWAY and buy the DVD the first second it came out.

I'm convinced. If a Zelda movie were to be made, it'd have to follow these conditions.
One: let it be a multi-chapter epic.
Two: don't let it take place in any particular game (no side characters from other games turned into something else, and no cookies referencing the games).
Three: It NEEDS to be animated, be it the 2-D anime style or the 3-D style of recent Final Fantasy titles. No matter how hard I try, I can't really envision a live-action Zelda movie.

i'm glad it was an april fool's joke. With cinematic hitler's like uwe boll walking around. in my opinion if a movie was made the only way it would work is if it was anime and was released as seperate 1-2 hours movies sort of like the hellsing ova's. again this is just my opinion.

I'm really angry about this. They spent what was probably thousands of dollars for all the costumes and not to mention the way they made the fake trailer only to have it made as a fraud.
Bunch of dumbasses that need to get whipped with a spiny whip if you ask me. Waste of money and everyones time.

I want to just bawl my eyes out when I watch the trailer and have to accept that it's fake.
It looks so much like Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess weaved together. They're so similar. (Temple of Time FTW.)
Hopefully, some rich, famous, movie director will find the trailer and make it real. One can dream!

Examining the trailer closely, one can tell that (assuming it's based on Ocarina of Time, which it obviously is, due to the guy I think is supposed to be Rauru and Ganondorf calling Link the Hero of Time) it wouldn't be very faithful.
-Talon's design is no longer based on Mario, but instead he reminds me of Collin Farrel when he played Bullseye.
-Talon seems to be Link's legal guardian, meaning the Kokiri (and Saria D=<
-Link somehow finds the Triforce on display in Castle Town or something, meaning the entire first three dungeons are ignored
-Zelda is in her post-seven years look before the seven year time skip.
-Zelda mentions some secret race guarding Link, even though the Kokiri are ignored
-Zelda locks Link in the Temple of Time for seven years (without any food or water or even the number for Pizza Hut D
-Link doesn't even have his tunic and cap until he finds them in the Temple of Time
-Rauru shows Link he has the Triforce in his hand right when he emerges from the Temple of Time
-Master Sword in a forest ala Link to the Past, rather then it being in the Temple of Time
-Absence of the Ocarina itself
And if you're stupid and assume the trailer was for a Twilight Princess movie, then it's even less faithful. The lack of Midna, the Twilight Princess herself.

Once again, glad this movie was an April Fool's Joke. If they actually did try to make a Zelda film that combined two games (Two that aren't direct sequels to each other. I guess I could accept mixing Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass, and possibly Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask at a stretch.), I would seriously feel the need to punch something.

Street Fighter, Mario Bros. Movie, Double Dragon. All awesome game series', all made in to shyte movies, all have their movies referred to as little as possible.
I would see an Ocarina of Time movie, I would see a Twilight Princess movie, but I would not see a movie that tried to combine Ocarina of Time with Twilight Princess.
The plot alone would be a mess.

That was actually Talon and Malon, not Ilia and Rusl.
The trailer was for a movie of Ocarina of Time. Want proof? They were calling Link the Hero of Time. Twilight Princess Link was the Hero of Twilight.
Want more proof? Okay, watch the trailer again and see if you can spot Midna or Wolf Link, or Zant or the Twilight Realm. Those were major parts of Twilight Princess, and they were totally absent in this trailer.

I believe that the Legend of Zelda would make an excellent live-action film, given the huge leaps and bounds in graphical effects. However, ever since the Super Mario Brothers Movie, I doubt Nintendo will take another chance with one of their biggest francises. PArticularly with video game butchering movie makers on the loose like Uwe Boll
