Description
I walk down the roads of old,Lined with houses in which I once roamed,
Some appear deserted, some still alive,
Others just barely survive.
Others too walk with me, their faces lit,
Of wonderment, resolve and grit.
I see some old faces, friends before,
Nothing more than acquiantances anymore.
I think of all the fun we had,
The thoughts of which make me sad.
Life took me places it wanted me to go,
Afar from this place which I once called home.
"Let me be." I yell out loud,
Life just smiles, and says it's time.
It knows I have no power over it,
But I was here, wasn't I?
Maybe, I would come again sometime,
Sit with you and have some whisky and lime.
Till then, its Adios my friend,
Here's to hoping we meet again.
