Yay new stuff! And I could be wrong, but has Valen gained weight in two years? It's not a problem at all, I just remember him being skinnier. He looks like a bundle of fun though so I'm excited to see the dynamics between him and Matoko.

I really like this art style. It works well. Out of curiosity, does this take much less work than normal coloring or only slightly less work?

And well...it didn't when I first started out, but I've started putting a bit more effort into the pages lately so they end up taking almost a long as normal coloring. But I think it suits the format better so I just keep doing it in black and white.

Hey man, do you. I was just wondering since on the one hand you need a variety of colors for a colored drawing, and all the shades associated with it, whereas for this you only need black and white... But also still need to do the coloring and shading well.
My skill is definitely writing, but I do appreciate anyone able to get stuff done, particularly artistic stuff. I can't seem to find the motivation
That is true, but then you have to consider what shades of grey to use in between for hair and eyes and articles of clothing. So it's almost like picking colors.
Honestly the only thing that motivates me to do anything is know that there are people that want to see me do things. If it wasn't for that I don't know what I'd be doing. DX

It's fine. I don't really have some kind of grand record that lays all of that information out so I'm sure a lot of people are missing that info. But yeah, Green hair usually means wind in this world.

Whilst we're on the subject I made a fan character, I guess you could call it, basically I made a character that lives in the world of ELE (very poorly drawn in MS Paint i may add) and while he may not ever appear in your comic I like to believe he's another citizen of Union City (and possibly a graduate or senior at the academy, I haven't decided an age yet, but I digress). Anyway, he's a wind elementalist and I'd appreciate so insight as to the abilities and stuff like that of wind elementalists of his age (15-16) before I update his bio with what he does for fun with his powers and stuff like that. Holy paragraphs, feedback is always appreciated, and you've served as a major inspiration to me.

Well as far a wind elementalist abilities go, that depends on what kind of courses he took. There's combat oriented courses, theoretical course, and real-world applications courses among others. Tethers have to take a mixed bag of all the courses with a focus on combat by mandate of the Union city council. But regular student don't. Some opt to combat courses if they plan to join the military but most choose the theoretical or real-world applications route.
The baseline of abilities for a wind elementalist would be stuff like quick thinking, above average speed and reflexes (can go even faster than that if they specifically train for that), and increased jumping ability. They can also fly if they practice enough but they can only sustain flight for a few minutes before they need to land. Wind elementalism can be used for other stuff too. Like lifting objects without touching them or, in the case of Valen sneezing to blow up the skirts of unsuspecting victims.
All of the elements have a lot of uses really, but that's the baseline of it for wind aligned people.

Do you think if he (btw, if ya click my face here you can c my poor rendition of him cuz i did upload him) trained hard enough could he make like vacuums for throwing stars and knives to travel at ridiculous speeds through, cuz that'd be pretty badass if that was possible and very intimidating for military purposes. Also leaping around at mach speed would be pretty cool as well.

Well all of those things are entirely possible if he were to train for it.
Also just a heads up Inlanders (cat people) can only have hair colors like white, black, and grey if they dye it. Otherwise they're stuck with red, blue, green, and dirty blonde/brown naturally.
