Hardest job I ever had was working in a kitchen. I wanted to cry and quit every minute I was there. Those plates were so hot coming out of the wash rack. You’d have burns all over you and your heads were raw from the hot water. I didn’t want to wear the nasty yellow gloves and they did not help. I did it for $5.15 plus tips. In 2002 to 2006 I’d make about $10 an hour on a decent shift as a “runner.” Hard work. Hard and hot work. Props to anyone ever or in good service.
