is that glowing effect 100% real?
im kinda confused how you did it. The effect of the sun light shining through the leaf is suggesting to think, that you still had sunlight but the background is like 7:00 in the evening. camera flash would look differently.. nor it could be indoor...
You may could have raised its quality, if you added a white/grey border to the title. (Im missing the contrast somewhat)
So at least the lens experienced a nice time in its last minutes of life. ^^ Do you think, it can be fixed? - i know that feeling >.<

actually dark red and black does not look all that bad. but the eye cancer effect is just too high

Well the sun was shining on the leaves. 90% real. Rest is tweaked in PS. The picture was taken today around 12:00 as you can see on the camera data. ^^

It was my Tamron 70-300mm Tele-macro, may it R.I.P.
The macro lens I want to get is a Canon EF Macro USM 100 mm F/2.8. It's apparently a very, very good lens.
