Had to take a break from customs, so i did a quick grid breeding! this was really fun and jump-started my design drive, i hope at least lmao i did do these in just two days which would usually take me a week+ x'D

Upon buying you can do whatever you want with the character design wise; change colors, species, add or remove details. I don't really care, it's not mine anymore.

He’s a simple cook at a Diner. “Sallies” The location is described as “In between no particular note worthy but ya might hit Manehattan if you keep going a long ways west of here”
He lives in a small little cottage just a short distance away from the Diner it belong to his grandfather who ‘Willed’ it too him. “Ashton Von Hazelblossom” or Ash as he prefers it was the son of a affluent family. They specialist in modern medicine and used their talents to rise above and join the riches of the rich in high society. Yes they help people by creating very affective cures and pain relievers but, and in Ash’s words, “They didn’t use their talents to further their damned wealth and actually help everyone in need” Ash might have stayed and become just like them.
However that flew out the window when he witness his parents hiking up the price of a particular medication that a lot ponies needed to survive. They did this just because they had the sole rights to produce said medicine and it’s price. All for the sake of another luxury item of some sort. Ash quickly turned his back and flew to the only thing that kept him sane in his family. Cooking, he used his talents and monthly allowances to feed and help the less fortunate.
As you can imagine his parents were not thrilled that their son and heir decided to water his talents on something so...domestic. Arguments ensued over the course of six months to which Ash uprooted himself and left for Canterlot...he had been accepted into a cooking program. Once completed he decided to move into his grandfathers old cabin and work for the small Diner not to far away.
His choice was mainly based on the fact that he needed a good place to think. Once he figured out to publicly distance himself from his family then he could start up his Organization. To help the less fortunate and needy and open large Soup/Shelters. He had a plan...but recently he’s been feeling down and unmotivated. It might be because of his family still hounding him or the fact that he left his little brother to take the full brunt of an “Heirs
Responsibilities”.
One day after a long workday he has just arrived back home when he saw...somepony or thing, as it has a cloak over them? Looking into the windows of his cottage. With no warning from him he used his magic to levitate the pony off the ground. They gave a started yelp and started to fail around. In the process of doing so uncovered their face. It was a changeling...or at least he thought it was. ash has seen the pictures and videos of what the “reformed” changelings looked like his this one ain’t it...well not quite. His body seem to be a mix of the two forms...odd.
“Who are you?” He states firmly.
“P-please...I mean no harm..” she has a very feminine voice. Her mismatched eyes look back at him pleadingly. Ash sighed and lowered her to the ground then went over to stand between her and his cabin.
“You haven’t answered my question...who are you? Why were you snooping around my cottage”
She looked startled. “Yo-your cottage? I thought this was Von Hazel’s cottage?”
‘Von Hazel?’ Ash gave them girl a weird look. “This was my grandfathers cottage, Cedar Von Hazelblossom” The Changeling looked near panic at the news.
“No..n-no no. That can’t be right. The great Wizard and Alchemist Von Hazel lives here! He has to be here!” She stomped her fore hooves on the ground.
Ash was starting to get a sinking feeling with every word this girl said. “Look this cottage belonged to my grandfather and now to me...it was ‘Willed’ to be after he passed away several years ago.” This information stopped the Changelings fretting.
“Passed? No...oh sprints no!” She slumped to the ground and started to cry in despair. Ash...and his big ol’ helping heart huffed and gently helped her to her feet guiding her into his cottage. He had so many questions and it looked like she had come a long way. The mud, dirt, and scratches on her cloak was a good indicator of that. The Changeling accepted his help with no protest.
After the day her down on his couch with a warm cup of tea. He waited while her sniffles subsided. “My name is Ash...” the girl wipes her eyes and sniffed.
“Phase...my name is Phase”

Oh my goODNESS! This is spectacular! And slightly ironic, hilariously enough.
The tan bearded pony on the top row, one of #2's "dads", his backstory is he's a mob boss that makes addictive drugs and other "remedies". One of which is a deadly acidic but sweet drink. Not quite a chef, but similar in the sense you made #2's family a manufacturer of medicines and the like. So that's pretty neat x'D
