"If the world you live in is a hell, then I'm willing to live there with you."This was an interesting movie. It is called Chirin no Suzu (Or Ringing Bell). I am definitely recommending this movie to anyone that has the spare time to watch it.

Hm, well I honestly think the movie was a good length! I thought the ending was good for it, but if they did make it longer, I wouldn't complain!

When they come to the barn to attack, they find the sheep already dead; slain by another wolf. Both Chirin and Uou would be pissed off that someone is freelancing on their territory, but when they confront the wolf Chirin sees a scar like Uou's on his face. It is then that Chirin realizes that this is the wolf who killed his mother all those years ago, not Uou. Then they would fight, and I can see the ending going three ways:
1.) Uou sacrifices himself to allow Chirin the chance to finish the other wolf off, and Uou would wish Chirin luck in his life before passing on. A grieved Chirin would find solace in the surviving sheep child we saw in the film who looks and sounds exactly like how Chirin did as a child. He would adopt the child like Uou did for him and raise him in a Hannibal Lecter-like way.
2.) Uou and Chirin would be aided by some of the surviving German Shepherds who would then sacrifice themselves for the two to end the wolf's life until only one remains GSD remains, a female. With nowhere left to go, the female German Shepherd and the surviving sheep child would abandon the now lifeless farm and join their saviors in the wild life of the land (the female becoming Uou's mate and the child becoming Chirin's brother).
3.) Uou is slain by the enemy wolf and Chirin takes the wolf out at the cost of a mortal wound, before passing he would see the child sheep and urge it to leave the lands to find a better life. The lonely and sad child is found by the remaining German Shepherds who survived the wolf's assault and they move off to find a safer place to live.

Oh man, I have to say I really like those endings! I think my favorite one might be the first one mainly because I like the thought of Chirin taking someone in just like how Uou did!

One of my most beloved movie, after Arashi No Yoru Ni. Awesome art. I really love the look of Chirin and the fur of the Wolf.
