His position is very saddening.. The people in the background not even noticing him is equally heartbreaking. Good choice to put this in black and white. Amazing capture of real life.

In the city I live currently, there are always the same broken at the same spots at the same time in the same crowded locations with getting no better than the same reactions from the same people. These are no individuals but crowds, who won't do more than crowds are used to do. And its always a oppressing feeling walking past the same spot again. I don't like how my heart may feel guilty but doing no better than ignoring, but since it affects my mind its the opposite actually, and I truely believe that everyones his owns fortunes architect.
Kinda thoughtprovoking shot. Technically I found it a smart decision having shot from a perspective not directly resembling the broken's pov, also not looking down, but slightly following the direction the road points to, where all the people rush by. The contrast work very well here. I don't believe I would exposure to such a noisy and dismissive environment day by day. I wonder if they ever find a way out, but I sense that their will is broken more than anything else. Are they then suited to this kind of life.

it's such a shame you cut the people above...i'd love to see the expressions!
i've got nothing but that against this one, it's expressive, simple, strong and the story is amazing...
this could stand proudly between official magnum photos for me

maybe a vignet would make it even stronger

Powerful shot, just goes to show how we treat the homeless and mentally ill or disabled...like dirt.
