He is painting in a fury. Β Wonder what's eating him?

Good question. I see it as an act of rebellion, a way to show the world they can take everything away, but that you'll stay free in your mind as long as you choose to. Metaphysical reasons aside, he's also an artist. Wouldn't surprise me if he poured all his emotions into it.Β
Anyways, the thing holding all the reasons as to why it could happen is the story, which you should read if you haven't yet.
Hope it answered your question.

Well, I'm pleasantly surprised. Β I wasn't expecting a long, drawn out comment. Β Usually it's two words like "oh, he paints and stuff". Β Thanks for the reply!
And I might read that thing.

Happy to know the reply was satisfying!
I like to answer the questions of the viewers as fully as possible.
Besides, a question like that begs for a long answer.
Also you should totally read it. It's pretty long and quite dark, but...
It's also a really good read, with interesting protagonists and a solid plot.Β
Only downside is that you have to read the original Fallout: Equestria before, if you haven't yet.
Which is not really a downside at all. >_>

I haven't. Β Unfortunately, I might not have the time right now, but I'll try.

Works perfect textless because you just hit spot on for that speaking-for-itsef as you went for. Really love the attention on his expression and body language, showing how much he's putting into this, just like when he draws. Extra focus for this case just because he has to write this and he's still learning about that.Β
Just gorgeous work and a beautiful idea

Aw. Thanks.
To be honest, I was afraid that it'd be too weird for people.
I'm happy to see it works for people the way I wanted it to.Β

The story is simple, the art is gorgeous and the flow of the comic itself is beautiful ^^

Well, you seemed so unsure about this simple piece, so gotta be honest on how well you did on it. It's clear you put a lot of work and thought into it, the effort shows. The full effect is just really nice, I wish I could manage so well on wordless comics.Β

Thanks. ^^
And it's just a question of practice and getting the right idea, you know.
I have dozens of wordless comics that lie cancelled in the depths of my art folder. >_>

Eh. Give it some time. Can't force the ideas.Β
Most of what I draw is filler waiting for an idea to pop up, honestly.

He is! I'd like to pick him up! As painless as possible I mean, it's like any body contact hurts the poor guy.

Pretty normal, with how frail and covered in scars and bruises he is. Poor thing better get his freedom. And hugs. Lots of them.

Here you go, he's done the first 3 chapters but hasn't updated in forever so now I'm just gonna do like everyone else does and read the awesome fan fiction while I'm on break.

Kind of reminds me of the graffiti part in the Monte Python movie The Life of Brian

Lol. That was a great movie.Β
Even more related since there's actually a graffity referencing it in New Vegas, with the Wild Wasteland trait.

This is so awesome, like i said on tumblr it catches how he thinks and works with art so well. Every stroke means something to him and showing the expression as it goes...works so much better without text, that was a great choice! Thanks so much.

I'm happy you like it.
To be honest, I kind of did get inspiration from the line-curve-shapes mantra.Β
I wanted it textless mostly because I'm the worst with words, and it worked well for this one, I think.Β
