The underground paths are deadly for mice who ignore the shortcuts under the rails. His guide and companion for the journey, fortunately, was from the tribe of those who lived by the rails, rangers and guards of that mysterious frontier that separated the realms. Communication was sometimes difficult, as living by the rails had made her deaf, but her knowledge, brave spirit and gentle smile were of great help keeping his anxious mind down. He was in lands he did not know after all, and if he died, what would become of his mission ?
