I don't see anything particularly bad with this ship. Granted, I would only look at this ship as a one way unrequited love from Marceline to Simon rather than an actual pairing. Seems more "realistic" since I can't imagine Simon reciprocating Marceline's hypothetical feelings (especially with Betty in mind).

That's the popular view. Though truth be told, that doesn't make it impossible for Marceline to have her own feelings towards Simon. After all, she has Hunson in her life and he was there before Simon (crappy a father he was aside).
