Such a pretty flower,
lush petals,
vivid color,
tender leaves.
Such a pretty flower,
red like a sunset,
petals pursed to kiss the sky.
Such a pretty flower,
so innocent,
so sweet;
appearing so,
deceiving many.
Such a pretty flower;
you just can't help but pluck it,
you just can't help but learn it's scent,
you just can't help yourself.
Once such a pretty flower,
now it's ruined
but the life-blood from the heart
it ripped from your chest
is the only food it needs.
