It drapes around me
like exquisite black silk,
billowing and folding,
accentuating my figure,
covering me like a blanket.

It bring the things
I hate to feel:
anger
remorse
loneliness
pain.

But here I go
tossing caution to the wind,
throwing my head back
to run with a passion
into the dark velvet
of the night.
