Description Β I struggle with my muse lately, but then this happened, part vent, part work of my hidden mind, maybe, because I just let it loose while creating this and it turned out full of hidden meanings
I’m not even sure what to think of it

I love the work you did here, the colors are beutiful and there is really a sense of magic to the otherwise abstract shapes. To me this is the mystic black lotus, a quite powerful artifact to posses Β

Thank you
though I find it a bit scary when I look back at it
I guess I felt a bit more β€˜broken’ hen I made it - the gold glue was just melting and dripping away and thigs were falling apart.Β
Since then Things are getting better though

Even feeling broken you still delivered beauty, chaotic but still beautiful. You may not see but I do. And I believe this deserves to be framed Β

Hmm . . . interesting . . . What are the hidden meanings? It reminds me of both a flower and a kaledioscope. I always associate kaledioscopes with hopeful change. Is that it?

I like that idea- hopeful change

I am not exactly sure what hidden meanings are - I was just letting stuff that compiled lately out - maybe I just felt a little more broken when I drew it.
things are getting better though.

Very cool -- One does not see a lot of abstract work where drawing is the base.Β  The obsessive quality of the linework gives this a certain intensity while the blues and purples convey a mood of interiority and perhaps melancholy.Β  There's also a sense of outer layers being torn away, as it were, to reveal an inner core.Β  Or perhaps those outer layers aren't being torn away, but are rather forming themselves into sharp spikes in order to pierce the core (which seems to be bleeding gold, now that I look more closely).Β  It seems almost as if there is a crown of thorns around this core, which puts me in mind of old pictures of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.Β  Needless to say, that idea opens up an entirely new set of doors!

In any case, it's easy to see that this is a work about a particular state of mind.Β  And that there is indeed a lot going on here! I think you and your Muse did a fantastic job on this one

Spikes more likely - lots and lots of spikes that are surrounding the broken piece of ..something.. not quite sure what. It is indeed bleeding gold - gold glue to be more precise, and all the gold is slowly dripping into that gold pool at the bottom. The gold glue used to hold things together [have you heard of kintsugi art?] but somehow it i melting and everything is falling apart. Hence calamity pool.
well, ironically people seem to like the drawing Β

Funny you mention kintsugi -- I only just learned about that technique last week!Β  Leave it to the Japanese to come up with something clever and beautiful at the same time...

It's a really nice drawing even if the subject is one that is troubling.Β  But perhaps this is like the phoenix and something fantastic will come of this falling apart?Β  I hope so!Β

You got that "hidden meanings" right!Β  I look at it and think I have it figured out, then I look away for a moment.Β  When I look back it's all changed!Β  Shades of Alfred Hitchcock; what have you done?!?Β  Β  At first glance I thought, "Okay; kinda interesting to look at, but not -that- interesting."Β  Then, the more I look at it the more I -like- to look at it.Β  Huh?Β
