Thanks! It's rare to find another 'underground comix' fan nowadays, when all I'm seeing is anime type stuff coming from a lot of people. I did this so long ago. I have mixed feelings about it now. Mostly because it seems like such a Bode copy, who was one of my main influences at the time.

I was just cleaning out my Cobalt 60's this weekend. Sigh. ^.^

I also picked up some of the original Lupins from the 1960s. It's surreal seeing Don Martin via anime stylizings. I'm amused by Cowboy Bebop, which deliberately makes Spike Speigel look like Lupin -- there's one episode where they have him doing the "Lupin shuffle" down a flight of stairs. I think we would all agree that everyone could read a bit more weird stuff.

This has been my fanboy rant for today. Yay Moondog!

Both those titles are great! I haven't read many of the Lupin comics, but I've seen some of the animated episodes. The design work on both are superb and really stand out for being quite different from the norm. I still have to pick up FLCL on DVD, which I found pretty interesting also. I haven't seen the whole series, so I'm shaky on the story, but the animation of the show is pushed to such wacky extremes. Very cool stuff.

I really have to say I loved this as well... It was so delightfully "Cheech Wizard"! It really took me back to the old days when Heavy Metal magazine was grittier, more artful, and presented on a monthly basis.

In fact,..it makes me want to go watch Wizards once again,...just for old time's sake...

Which reminds me,..if you haven't checked it out already, take a gander at the recently released Ren and Stimpy Lost Episodes. On the second disk there's a great one called "Firedogs 2", which actually stars Ralph Bakshi himself as the voice for the Fire Chief! It has to be one of the most disgusting yet hilarious Ren and Stimpy offerings to date...

Also,..I just wanted to say, I just got finished reading all your work on Moondog up to the most recent,..and let me tell you,..I fell in love with it! It was full of such angsty goodness, and it's almost as if I've know each and every one of your well-crafted characters at some point or another in my own life (is that scary, or what?!?)... Really great work! And I can't WAIT to see more... So nice, in fact, that I HAD to come on over here to check out your other art!

You are right, The only thing I'm "guilty" of is letting my pet rodents run all over me too! (I miss having rodent pets SO much)

I had a friend in college with two white rats. She used to bring them to our film class and we'd play with them while watching movies. They were such cuties, much nicer than the giant sewer suckers we have rummaging through our garbage in brooklyn.
