Thankyou for the crit! I'm glad you enjoyed this work, and i whole heartedly agree that i could improve the background, - it is defiantly something i shall look into! As for the realism, it would be a challenge, it is not my strongest point, but i will defiantly consider giving it a try once i practice some more

I really love the overall concept- and the dog, how cute! I adore his headgear. This character looks very interesting, and I adore the tones and colors you chose for this. For concept work, it's very nice, but if you were to do another piece with this characters, I'd love to see more depth in shading. Also, his expression is a serious, determined one from working I gather, but it looks a bit too empty- perhaps experiment more in that area, study determined, hard working or serious faces- the human face is like a palette, and it's not blank very often.
This is great work, I'm very intrigued! 8D
