EDIT: Uploaded a MUCH BETTER picture of the figure so you can see more of the colors and metallic shine.A veeeery pretty critter who can definitely handle themself in a fight. Also, yes, I’m still alive!
My boyfriend did the sculpting and I did the paint job. He started painting it but he gave it a turquoise body with a bright orange fin and was going to call it done, but I wasn’t satisfied and took over. Lots of experimenting went on with lots of different paints, but I’m pretty happy with the outcome!

Oooh, I bet that critter would be epic if you were able to build it at suitimation scale, you'd probably sweep a Stan Winston contest or knock the socks off of some cosplay judges. It would just need a ton of airbrushing.

Nope! I used regular color paints from Apple Barrel. Then for the shine I used Folk Art Metallic paints. Folk Art is definitely the paint to use because their paint goes on soooo much nicer than Apple Barrel.

the iphone 8 should have some apps for additional camera settings if I remember correctly. it might help. Most photographers use iphones for their pro work these days. dont worry too much on getting an actual camera for now. it's more of a preference at this point but it's nice to have a device that focuses only on photos.

hmm.. most of the apps i know of are more or less minor filter settings like color pop is a good one or visco. Something to look up. Try looking up camera in the app store. I only know through photography classes XD. I have an android but the concept still applies.
