He is actually a character that is comes from a reality, where magic is a second nature to everything. He transforms his tail from organic to inorganic matter hence the swords, being second nature, he is not aware of it being magic. in the world that he is placed in, he is supposed to be a gene spliced individual, kind of science experiment, with interesting results. He is a character in a novel I am writing,
As for his tails getting in his away, It is his weakness, because since they can regularly get detached and reattached. People can pull his tail off with relative ease; and if someone knows the magic to turn them into a sword they can use them against him.

No, sorry. I just didn't explain it thoroughly, In the story I am writing there are two separate realities where the realm of magic and one other intersect, and he was created for the specific reason to see if an individual from each reality could procreate without complication. So they took an animal from reach world and gene spliced them together.

Yeah, Its hard to explain everything without writing a full 40 page report on everything that goes on, because my first novel is a "in medias res" set up which means it starts in the middle of a specific event. I am trying a new approach to writing, and see how people take to it. I have spent seven years to the development to my novel and it's characters. So I am dedicated to making sure its a success

they turn into a blade like the one he is currently using. he has six tails in total, and he can remove one and use it as a sword( i could be wrong, but that is how i interpreted what i was told about the character)
