Same. Paintings aren't just pictures, they're kind of like a movie, in my opinion at least. I like to see all of the curves and winds and all of the different shapes! It just goes to show how much small details count!

Exactly! Process is as important as the finished picture in a drawing or painting in my opinion, as it allows you to watch how the artist built the picture from the beginning. And not only it makes pictures richer in terms of contrast in brushtrokes, directions and textures, but it also makes it very difficult to replicate, and thus unique to the piece and artist it belongs to

Too true! That's just what makes the picture more than a photograph. It's kinda like one of those mouse mazes, you look at the beginning, follow the strokes through until they stop. Then start over and do it all again. The only difference is that there is no end to it. Like Inception, kinda. Yeah
