As a big fan of LaVioletta's artwork I have to say you definitely did this picture justice. It's absolutely wonderful! From the sun ray effects to the actual colors. And don't worry, I'll be visiting the original work soon enough. I wouldn't miss that.

Personally, I like to see girls because it reminds me of hugs, as silly as that sounds: A beautiful, sensitive and vulnerable being is held firmly by strong wood or metal, but without being hurt by it. And yes, stocks can be surprisingly comfortable.

I had several scenarios in my head for this pic of yours...
1. She wakes up in the stocks not knowing how she got there in the first place.... *Panic ensues...
2. She wakes up from the previous day of torture and surprised to see it's morning already as she hasn't recovered yet... *Panic also ensuses
3. There's something very sinister approaching offscreen that she knows will make her life miserable for the coming hours... could be a crowd of ticklers, a pair of frisky goats, mean spirited but playful friends or a sneaky young horndog with foot lust rising in his pants and vulnerable feet in his sights... The imagination runs wild...
I also love the sunlight as I figured this would be a very public place she's in for all to see... Of course with some lighting and shadow changes she could have been in a dark dungeon at night with the moonlight peering through a barred window...
