Pearl was the replacement of Pink Pearl. Ever since she laid eyes on Pink Diamond she knew she was in love with her. She became completely devoted to her. She had often daydreamed of fusing with her. So when she met Pezzottaite. She was...conflicted..jealous? Due to her devotion to Pink Diamond she accepted Pezzottaite. However she has always deeply have been envious of Spinel as well as the fusion itself.This leads to future resentments between Pearl and Pezzottaite. Once they have accomplished saving their colony. Pearl isolated herself from the other Crystal Gems because as much as she hated to say it, she missed Homeworld. She decided to take this time to explore the planet and explored the climate and geography of the planet. Once she returned to the CG she remained quite distant especially since her new reformation had no mouth (she talk through pictures and holograms). However She had always been very distant in social surroundings. She prefers to work alone and tends to like being the CG's Temple Master. She and Raspberry Quartz were very close friends, RQ was the only gem she confided in about her jealousy towards Pezzottaite. When She heard RQ was going to give up his physical form to create Steven. She was extremely upset since they were always close friends and not having him around anymore would definitely be different. Once Steven was born, Pearl grew extremely distant again. She often isolates herself deep in the temple.
