Description
So that's what happens when you break a light bulb...---
I was bringing a new lightbulb out to change the old one and I tripped. Needless to say, the lightbulb broke and all the glorious unused light spilled out. Luckily, I had my camera nearby and managed to snap a quickie before it all dissolved into the air. Lucky, eh?
---
To those who say I do too much with long exposure, I say long exposure does too much with me. Yes, this is another long exposure shot, just like many of the others, but this one has a cryptic MEANING oooooooooh! Well, not so much cryptic as blatantly obvious that lightbulbs make light and if you break the bulb, the light gets out. soooooooooooo...
---
Enjoy.

Waitaminute...
This isn't manipulated? (Has no idea what long exposure means) This is really what happens when you break a light bulb?
If so: Suh-weet! 8D
I'm glad you gotta shot of this then -- 'cause iss real cool!

this is not photomanipulated. Long exposure is a traditional technique where you leave the shutter open for a long amount of time, several seconds, so that more light is let in that normal. In this way you can, by way of a flashlight or other light source, introduce light to the photograph to produce a desired effect. I used a flashlight to "draw" the light into this picture using that technique. Unfortunatly this isn't really what happens when you break a bulb, but that would be damn impressive

Hmm... I.. Think I comprehend what you're saying
It's still flippin' cool, even if this doesn't really happen to broken lightbulbs

Hmm, finally a more creative idea than just outlining. After seeing so many outlines I was starting to wonder if this light-exposure idea has burned itself out. Looks like I was wrong. Good work ^_^!
