Description The Guardians' technology is a blend of magic and innovation. These Here are some Guardian flying machines, mostly Ornithopters.

The "Northern Branta" (bottom left) is a carrier ship designed like a goose. The largest of the Guardian Ornithopters, it is capable of traveling immense distances and carrying heavy loads with very little effort. The "Branta's" wood and canvas build, like all Guardian Ornithopters, makes it light, but fragile. It relies on two Arcanian amplifiers located on each side of the "neck" for protection and defense. Normally a crew of three Guardians man this beast. A pilot, a gunner/engineer to maintain the working systems including the Ornithopter's dual rune-cores, and a gunner/navigator. The Branta is deployed wherever a large bulk of people, supplies, or equipment need quick transport.

The Epiprocta is a small, personal transport with only a single, half-sized rune core for power. The insect wing technology is still fairly new and the adaption to larger craft is still in the workings.

The Passere (second from the bottom on the left) is the most widely produced Ornithopter used by the Guardians. The aircraft is built to mimic the sparrow and has earned it's keep in many a dogfight. The Passere is highly maneuverable and has a tighter turning radius than any Dark Guard aircraft. It is the second fastest vehicle of the ones depicted here. The Passere can be piloted either alone or with a passenger solely devoted to casting spells through the single Arcanian amplifier located on the spine of the craft. The ability to use arcania while flying is the saving grace of the Passere. Without the shield spells one can cast around it the flimsy craft would easily be ripped apart by enemy fire.

To the right of the Passere is the S.P.A.D. [link] Professor Boron's masterpiece is the second most maneuverable of these vehicles after the Passere. But it is built more solidly than the sparrow-plane, and is the fastest vehicle here.

The zeppelin is fairly common in both Guardian and Dark Guard armies. (Although the Dark Guard usually build pontoon-styled craft with two blimps connected by the bridge) Not much to say about this particular one. Four Arcanian amplifiers lend this airship ample firepower and each engine is driven by it's own dedicated 5/4" sized rune-core.

I love the mechanical drawing style, and the flying machines look both old-fashioned (in a good way) and really really cool. I particularly like the perspective given by the tiny people

Hahaa! Someone caught on! Yes. They're all based on DaVinci's Ornithopter.

Great perspective on these. As I've said before, your skill with mechanical drawings is very strong. The overhead view is also a very nice touch. It's a little different, and makes the picture more interesting.

Yet again, thank you. Are there any that you might want to see in greater detail?

Perhaps the smaller craft might be nice to see in a larger image.
