When I think of Resident Evil, I always think of Claire in the same moment of thought. For me she was what made me cherish the Resident Evil series. My dad had brought RE2 for the N64 and back then I was young and I never completed any game since I Β pretty much just played the game to mess around. I would load up my dad's saves and it would let me freely explore the RPD and the intro of the game, running through the streets down the back alleys just gave me chills every time I played it. Fast forward to my teenage years, I finally started to complete games and I focused a lot of time on RE2/RE3 and Code Veronica. I was so happy when Claire was announced as the lead character in Revelations 2 but at the same time it was upsetting that Alyson Court wasn't coming back...and now it sucks even more considering how RE7 has pretty much rebooted the series. I think the series golden girl came back too late.Related content

Looks like we agree about a lot. Claire makes a great leading lady, for sure! I had the same feeling about Revelations 2 (and wound up largely pleased, although I couldn't get used to the new VA at all). And I agree with you about RE7. After seeing that, there's a part of me that hopes that Capcom scraps the RE2 Remake, rather than tarnish the legacy. 7 is an unfortunate abomination.
Anyway, onto the pic: Very nicely done! This isn't Claire's most flattering character model, but you did a fantastic job with it. Excellent choice for the background (awesome screen effects!).

I loved Revelations 2, it's the best resi in a long while. I am really looking forward to the remake I hope they do it justice,
but it looks like they are listening when people praise the re1 remake so hopefully they take the same approach. I believe some of the team workedΒ
on the re1 remake so hopefully its in safe hands.
I really dont mind REV2 Claire, I do think she is pretty, at least with xnalara I can edit the lips or what not to be more pleasing.

I wish I could share your optimism. If it was just a remaster of the game, I wouldn't be worried. But actually remaking it and changing things...it definitely worries me. And besides, Capcom "listened to the fans" with RE7, and the result was...well, RE7!
The model wasn't all bad. I don't think it was the best model, but certainly not the worst. I liked her with auburn hair better, and I think her nose is a bit off. But it's not super big stuff. The lips, I agree with- the face models in Rev 2 are weird that way. At least they didn't have the weird kind of "wet" texture that every model in RE6 had.

haha very true, hate the wet look on models in games atm like why is that hair so shiny! that's not how hair is suppose to look!
Well RE1 remake was build from the ground up so fingers crossed. I don't think we will see anything until next year or two.Β
I've never known why Claire was given red hair in the games, her hair was stated as auburn but still very brown in RE2 and RECV.

The fact that there's been no news whatsoever is a bit concerning. Usually there's talk, or some minor leak at this point. I hope it goes well, but I'm really not ready to get my hopes up too much.
I think the only time it was ever auburn was in the concept art, come to think of it. And in that one tiny flashback in Degeneration, lol.

I remember an interview with a RE7 producer that there was a question regarding the RE2 remake and he said it's coming along nicely.

Hopefully "coming along nicely" refers to the fan's standards, and not to RE7 standards, lol. And I'm really hoping to see Alyson Court get cast as Claire, too. That would go a long way toward me feeling good about this project.

Re7 is like a soft reboot. Sure it continues after the events from the last game but changes alot of features at the same time. Like what re4 did after CV
