For those of you who've seen Howl's Moving Castle you'll notice that Howl's hair/feather colour looks a little... odd? This is not due to any colourblindness on my part but rather I was trying to draw/paint Howl with a mix between his mature blue-black colouring (man he dyes his hair a lot!) and the teal blue hair colour he had when he was a child. You can see in the background the sparkish things from Calcifer, the background is based straight off the scene of calcifer landing in young Howl's hands (back when he had the teal hair colour).

I managed to do this all today while on break from another watercolour/pencil of Koi, incidently if you enjoy to combine those two media why not join the club I recently started for it? It's not the most original or complex piece (basic colouring and basic lineart) but I really enjoyed it and like how it turned out.

uh, sorry about the weird colouring on his face, for some reason my computer likes to increase the contrast between certain colours - in the original the skin just looks like one colour.

About the pose... the thing on the right is his wing, it extends way beyong the enge of the picture but he has folded it back towards his chest, doubling up the wing. And as you can see he's in some serious bird mode.

Ah well, hope you have some of the fun seeing this as I did making it.
