On a sleepy little heritage railway, there was a Class 08, which was hardly maintained, as other locomotives required more attention, one day it self-destructed and totaled itself beyond repair. so this railway was left with a dead diesel, a totaled engine, and two choices. one: they spend tons to restore the diesel to working order, or do something unique and cheaper, Across The Yard was an old spare boiler, so taking the unique opportunity, the heritage line created something new from the ashes of their old 08, which they dubbed: "Phoenix"

Update 6/23/21: re-rendered and tweaked here and there, as well as textured in a few places, will prolly tweak it further in future

Update 12/18/21: pretty late update, I changed the number from D3987 To simply just 3987, as the "D" doesn't really apply to this locomotive anymore, also just generally tweaked and added details.
