It is rather unfortunate that there are little to no MLP griffon tutorials.

I spent most of my time looking at mythological book that had some anatomy breakdown to them. I then spent quite a while watching "Griffon Brush Off" and "MMMMystery on the Friendship Express" to get a good idea on how the show represents griffons. A good start is to use a more traditional version of a griffon and then compose it into the MLP style.

hmm interesting, but yeah, i try to find one  before, and there isnt a single one out there.
