I was also just wondering, do you use a program to make your patterns? They are all so perfect to the characters

I use DMC thread.
And I find things come out better by using several programs, and then manually editing it after.
Photoshop/other image editing to reduce the number of colors or resize as needed. PC stitch to pick base DMC colors. Then I go in and modify as needed- things like combining similar colors, or colors that only have a handful of stitches. Removing stray stitches off by themselves. Etc.
