From the hit Nick Jr. series "The Backyardigans". It's the only show on the (current) Nick Jr. line-up I can stand watching. It's actually a really good show. My favorite out of the Backyardigans crew would have to be Austin the Kangaroo. So, here he is. He's a little chubby and short in the show, but in my style he actually looks like an actual little boy.Yeah, I know. I'm 18 years old and I watch kiddy shows. But you know what, who cares right?

all right, another Austin fan. niced to meet you. I loved the clown episode. he wanted a hug from Tyrone. my favorite episode is the Race Around the World, i love how Austin sings "Go Go Go". and the Tea Party episode. i thought it was cute when he was laughing his head off.

I remember seeing that show with my nephew and thinking "What is he?" I was kind of thinking dog, but his tail was too big. As his hind legs are just as short as all the other cast members, it was hard to say.

ah i see. The Backyardigans' age range is for kids 2-5.........so, imagine how childish it can get. but the songs are catchy...and the characters are appealing, not to mention diverse. and Austin Kangaroo, well, he's a cutie.

I think they changed him to that for the second season and stuck with it. I have favorite episodes from both the first and second seasons, and he looks taller in season one.
