Description
I caught this bird alongside a small lake in Michigan...I don't like the reed above the bird, but I don't think I can clone on Lightroom...Not sure about the identification, anybody know?

No idea. All I know is that the depth of field is awesome and I really like the way the colours contrast and complement each other, though it's still maintaining its naturalness, which makes it easier for us to engage and relate to it all the more. I think it's fantastic how the bird stands out so much and I like the point of view, especially from this angle.
I find it interesting how the head is cocked to the side as if the bird was listening or paying attention... it feels almost intimate, or personal at least.
Not bad, certainly.

Thanks!
I identified it, a female Red Winged Blackbird I was surprised, because that wasn't at all what I expected, knowing the males

ii like it as is...i know what you mean about the reed above it, but sometimes it's the actual animal in the shot that counts the most, and here i think you did bring focus to the bird.
i keep half expecting the log it's on to come to life lol

Do you have any kind of a blurring tool that you could use to soften the reed? It's not that distracting but if you could soften it that might help.
Love the turn of it's head!

Hmm, I'll have to see! I looked at it again, and it's quite frustrating to me! Perhaps I could try the spot remover tool, that might work...
Thanks!

I know what you mean...you see something you really wish wasn;'t there and then you kind of obssess on it and it become really annoying. But if you have a blurring tool of a softening tool that may just do the trick for you! Good luck! It's still an awesome shot!
