If I did this my way,Β it'll be the extend version of the Steam Team. That way, Edward and Henry can be with their teammates again and Tidmouth Sheds with two more berths built and it'll be a win-win.

I like that idea. In my Thomas story I do plan on having Nia and Rebecca but I don't want to cut out Edward, Henry and Toby.

That's actually a pretty good design of Tidmuth sheds. What I liked about season 7 and 8, along with calling all engines was it's subtle inclusion having Emily join the original 7. I sorta wish Nia and Rebecca had that same build up. While BWBA had introduced Nia and despite my feelings with the movie and the direction and decisions of S23 I think Nia's inclusion as a steam team member was earned. While I love Rebecca I feel like she was just randomly brought into the main cast with no build up or character arc.
Not to mention Thomas the Tank Engine may focus a majority on Thomas but what they're forgetting is everyone has a story to tell. I understand completely wanting more female characters, but they didn't have to assign Edward and Henry with non speaking roles and at least Toby got a featured episode. But that's what happens when you introduce so many new characters at once. They could have done a half hour special of the steam team rebuilding Tidmuth Sheds like this, and had everyone come together as one happy family.
