Description
This is a picture of me taken outside the Olympic park aka The Supanova venue.It's a Cosplay of transformed Hidan and I'm quite proud of it.
The make-up was done by My Sister .
And my Scythe was made by our Deidara.
Obviously I didn't take this photo but since it's me since I made (most) of my costume I think that it's okay to upload it.

Dude, that's a great cosplay, btw i'm trying to make my own Hidan cosplay, and how did u make the scythe? I just want to know, so I can get a head start soon.

Hey~ I was the Deidara in her cosplay group and I made the scythe~
Just a heads up it can be very fiddly to make a sturdy and safe scythe that con friendly.
-takes a deep breath-
*The pole is actually a wooden tent pole. It comes apart at the middle for easy transportation. Any non flexible wood will be fine for it though.
*The silver parts where the blades attach are foam wire covers, you can get these at places that sell foam for building things, pool shops or if your in Australia clark rubber xD
*The blades are made from foam matting that is usually used for kids play areas. they are flexible and easy to cut and stay the right shape! also They already were red when I bought them XD
Paint the pole red with paint. The white handle part is actually material that I used to make bandages for Kisames sword. When the red paint is dry wrap the cloth around the pole, glue it down as you go.
yay fiddly bit!
cut the blades and the rectangle parts of the blades at the back into shape. I used Silver spray paint to colour the blades and foam parts.
cut the tubes so they site around the pole and leave slots for the blades to sit in (LIKE MAKING IKEA FURNITURE! ) use superglue to keep it together. You will have to hold it in place until it dries some XD
The rope is attached by making a drilled hole in the base, sticking it in the hole and nailing it in there xD
(the fact I did woodwork and Art as highschool subjects helps a damn lot when making props xD...when I have time to make them that is.... eww grown up work now kills any spare time for good props xDD)
