Can you tell me how to upload gif's? I tried but it just says "preview required" but I have NO IDEA what I'm supposed to do there...

Oh sure. It's a bit of a hassle sometimes.
Once you submit a gif and it asks you to make a preview, just make a new gif that's exactly 150x150 pixels.
You set it as your preview by clicking the little pencil icon on the right side of the submission form at the top.
