Description
So, I was planning on making a Super Mario bros. 3 hack that was going to swap Mario and Peach (like that Zelda hack that swaps Zelda and Link). I edited Peach's SMB2 sprites to make them look more Peachy and was even planning to do other graphical changes like changing names, the HUD, and whatnot.Though I never got around to actually making it and this is pretty much all that exists of the little project.
The top row is Peach and all her powered up forms. The ones in the pink squares were alternate pallets I was considering using.
I was actually undecided as to who I wanted P2 to be so I made various colored forms of Daisy, Rosalina, and Pauline to see which color combination I liked the best.

Did anything ever come of this hack? I've been looking for Peach hacks of Mario games.

if you decide to use Rosalina or Pauline, then you should edit the outfits so it looks more like them. the daisy sprites look legit though, considering classic daisy was almost a complete re color of peach any way

I can't do that. Player 1 and Player 2 share the same sprites, they just use different pallets. In most of the classic Mario games Mario and Luigi shared the exact same sprites, but had different pallets.
If I change one I change both.
Though that has kinda given me an idea, why not use all four and make a princess version of Super Mario Bros 2?

well then if you do this with SMB3 or even the 1st one then you will have to use classic daisy then as player 2, because Pauline and Rosalina don't resemble peach enough to be full color pallets, plus Daisy has always been peach's side kick, her luigi. but I like that princess version of SMB2 though. maybe you should do that, or both because i'd still like to see peach and daisy with the power ups. o and another objection is that I personally think fire peach should look more like her 3d world design. still good work with this though. I hope to play the final result of what ever you decide to do

I just now noticed that Frog Peach was a mermaid. very nice idea btw, but frog Mario is still able to move on land. how will Mermaid Peach move on land?

I'm not sure, probably hopping on her tail like Tigger.
Though when I made this I was still super early in the planning process (as shown by the fact I didn't have a final pallet chosen or P2) and it didn't really occur to me that a mermaid wouldn't do well on land.
