Description
Another crazy idea. I just love theme about species swap. So, since Simba and Bambi are both princes, and sometimes other artists draw them together, I thought, I should too, but not ordinary.So, what's happened here? Who knows. It could be a story.

I actually wrote a story based on this. I hope it does it justice
ExchangeSimba was exploring a far part of the oasis. He didnβt go there often but he still he wasnβt expecting much. But as he made his way through, he found something completely unfamiliar. Just on the other side of a small pond, the trees had some-what darker leaves and thicker trunks and there were considerably more rocks and bushes.
βCool!β he thought. Despite the urge to run right in and explore, something told him to keep his distance. He tried to tell Timon and Pumbaa about it but they didnβt believe him.
βWeβve never seen anything like that,β they said.
βBut, I saw it! I know it!β insisted Simba.
βSure, you did, kid. Sure, you did,β said Timon dismissively.
βThen why donβt I show you,β inquired Simba, βIf thereβs nothing there, youβve got nothing to lose.β
Timon and Pumbaa agreed and Simba lead them to where he had seen the pond. When they got there, nothing seemed out of t

That's great. And was very interesting for reading.
I wonder what's next.

I love how I can still actually tell who was who here, the background also is really well done and isn't distracting at all to the main focus.Β
But why is this a .jpeg?? :c .jpeg is more for photography and saving a cartoon or illustration with .jpeg will ruin clean lines with weird effects which are quite visible.
It would've been nice to see how this would've looked as a .png So we could see it without the .jpeg artifact damage.Β
You clearly have massive talent and I'd hope that these artifacts don't affect your work in the future! But looking at your newer stuff it seems like you've already moved to .png so yay there XD

Thank you)
Well, I did it in "jpeg" just because it's a much less weight. I mean PNG pictures usually about 5-10 Mb when JPEG is just 500-700 Kb. I had some troubles with trafic in the past, so that's why I do it now.
What, is those artifacts are so visible? I didn't notice. Of course I can change file into PNG if it's need, but I thought JPEG is good enough.

Pardons for the wall of text
====================
Yes it all has to do with the compression, .jpeg is a lossy format, meaning that is loses data during it's compression. .png is a lossless format and retains all data on compression. So .jpeg may be smaller but it's at a major sacrifice.
That data loss is what you see in this image here  img.labnol.org/di/jpg_vs_png.p⦠(Not mocking you but this image conveniently explains what it does)
This compression is barely visible in photography but pretty much every other thing like logos, illustrations and digital art like this one is done by .png.
You will notice that most artists on dA that are not photographers use .png because of the benefits that come with it. Honestly, you are an extremely rare case of someone using .jpeg which is why I brought it up
====================
I'm totally not desperately trying to convince you lol. But if you still want to use.jpeg I would recommend using a different software to actually save as a jpeg, it will make the compression not as noticeable.

That swap is much worse for Bambi than it's for Simba. A herbivore can't be a lion

You think? And how about poor lion cub who became a prey instead of predator? I think it's much worse.

And a lion can't be herbivore except for that lioness who could eat plants.
