another WOW. your drawings remind me of the resident RapidGrapher nearby....inking, inking, inking...
you guys might be "related" or perhaps exposed to the same environmental mutagens whilst growning up (which induced extra neurons to form between eye/brain/fingers.....)
2 hours, though, whoa!!!

You have the most amazing facility for creating psychedelic art that grabs us and draws us into worlds of unending motion and dizzying detail. I can't help but think of your β€œI Am The Walrus” journal when I look at this. I used to have to take a funny little pill to get this effect, but I much prefer this method.

its scary to get a response so quick. I think it'll be my turn to be offline cause i'm moving tommorowish and i neither have phoneor any high speed internet. hope i don't go into internet withdrawl, but at list its gonna be my first time living on my wn, though I'm cheating a bit since its still the same town,i probably should comment on the actual picture so at first i though t the white area was really distracting, but then I noticed its some kind of worm-person, and now i like it a lot more, t makes the image more then just a pattern

There's a lot going on so it can be hard to spot the eye right away.

Good luck with the move, that can be such a pain.

A very well done optical illusion, something I can appreciate partially because I incorporate optical illusions into a lot of my art as well, although certainly not as detailed as this. I like the sense of depth and three dimensionalness created by the use of just the black/white pattern of squares. Some areas look more blocky, like how some buildings have those patterned light/dark squares that look like stacked blocks - similar to that, but your piece has more variation in illusionary shapes. This piece appears to go inwards and outwards in so many different ways and in so many different areas, its really quite chaotic looking and indeed does kind of make you dizzy looking at it. The one little spiral that's completely white at first made me ask why you didn't finish the piece, but after looking again I like it because it does give it a little bit of an unfinished look, and also gives the eyes a place to focus and rest on after looking at all that spinning chaos. Reminds me a bit of bridget riley's work only in the use of black/white pattern to create an optical illusion, although is certainly a very unique looking piece.

I am really impressed by the fact that you hand drew this. What an amazing exercise in skill and patience your work must be.

Wow thanks I left the white mainly to give the eye some space (the pattern is kind of coming out of or going into the eye, depends on ones mood). These are more of a zone out type thing when I do them (don't really think and have no plan, the eye just showed up as I was drawing.... basicly it just relaxing for me to draw these (this maybe why I have hundreds of pattern works like this)

I worked with a pen once on a drawing with a style like this, it's hard to keep you composure and patience with a drawing like this. That's why i must say excellent work!!
