We all have our reasons for fighting, and more often than not it's a person, or people, who we care about, who we want to protect, or to avenge, loved ones lost, or loved ones we desperately wish to forge a better world for, to struggle so that they needn't endure the same pain... She is my reason for fighting, someone who's endured so much in the short time she's been in this world, I want to make a world for her where she can be happy, free to live her life without fear of Monsters or Death Stars... ~Quinn Shara's Memoirs, Rebellion Years, reflecting on her reasons for fighting.

I finally drew something! ;w;

I started this over a month ago I think, I thought I'd got my second wind back then, but it was more of a draft, turns out you can't wait for for a second wind, you have to make it happen, y'know? I really wanted to finish it, feels good, I adore drawing these two, they're very much a coping mechanism for stress, along with Jaeriel, I love those three.

I had an idea for a story of this piece, and it's shortly after Quinn and Orchid meet, when they're back on Grace, so here's a two-fer for you lore nerds, double journal description!

I can't imagine what it must have been like, I'd grown up around spaceships, my early childhood travelling with my Mother, and later the derelicts on Da'hren, it's all normal to me. For her though, this is all new, she doesn't remember much about her past, only that she's spent a lot of time living rough on Nar Shaddaa, the change must be quite overwhelming, though with that said the corridors of Grace are not too different from the labyrinthine nature of Nar Shaddaas' alley ways and sewers, Grace is definitely a lot cleaner though, that's for damn sure... With all these new sights and sounds I don't blame her for being nervous, a hissing sound from the vent in our room had her scared of "the Monster in the wall", I tried to explain that there is no monster, that the vent gives us air, lets us breathe, but it didn't convince her, she told me of a "Monster" that lived in the sewers below her alley, it terrified her, living in the water, apparently it ate one of the local kids who was trying to prove how brave he was, going on her description of the so-called monster I'd say it was probably a Dianoga, anyway I told her, "Monster or no Monster, it doesn't matter either way, I will always protect you." Sounds kinda' corny thinking about it, but it actually seems to have done the job, at the very least she no longer jumps every time she hears that hiss, my brave little Orchid. ~Quinn Shara's Journal, early Rebellion years, on Orchid adjusting to her new life aboard the Grace.

Anyway that's that, apologies for the complete lack of uploads, hopefully the new year will be a better one, but as always I hope you all enjoy, and feedback is very much appreciated.
