Description
One of my favorite characters from George R.R. Martin's wonderful series, "A Song of Ice and Fire." Arya starts out the series as a tomboy more in love with swordplay and her dire wolf Nymeria than learning to be a proper lady. And then she ends up killing a lot of people. Anyway, this is from the good old days early in the series. I realized about halfway through painting the background that given Nymeria's size, they should be at Winterfell instead of King's Landing (the difference being that it would be freaking cold and snowy) but hey, artistic liscence. Hopefully the background doesn't suck. Took about 2 hours in Photoshop.Related content

No, she didn't. And to be the size she is here she'd still have to be in Winterfell. I really should have gone back and checked before I did this picture--as it is, I caught my errors in a reread a few months later.

Yaknow, that basic description of Arya also seems to fit Honor Harrington. A young tomboyish officer more interested in military matters than politics, she ends up killing lots of people (including one in a sword fight, as it turns out)

Except Honor's not a ten-year-old girl trying to avenge the death of her family, as far as I know.

Well, if you're gonna split hairs, I suppose THAT'S different too
Although in one of the books, she DOES go forth to avenge the death of her boyfriend.
