Okay, this made it about 500% more scary, and also it's the fastest ninja edit I've ever done. I love photoshop!Is this better, guys?

So very, very scary! But I thought they had a pair of human arms as well as the spidery ones (weren't some of them using weapons in Page?) I may not sleep tonight, but this is a great design!

I kinda thought they would have segmented claws, like I drew... no idea if it's canonical really, but it's the only way I could think of to have a practical and spidery design.
Unless they're more like the centaur design someone else suggested, o'course.

Nice. Remember, you could always make it scarier by putting half eaten kittens in its pincers... (Reference to the scene in First Test when Keladry runs into a spidren. You probably know that, but if you didn't you'd probably think I was some weird sadistic person who hates kittens.)

My kitten drawing skills are lamentably non-existant, but I might try to do an action sheet with it just to work out different poses. Knowing the internet like I do, drawing kittens being eaten might incur the wrath of 4chan :S

Hehe, it's the way the web is between you and the exit of the cave that gets me. Although the drawing is on my desk at the moment, the spider about 15cm tall... and I keep thinking "Wow, if it was that size it would make an AMAZING pet!"
Especially since it has opposable digits. You could make it do the washing up.

Well, you'd make sure there was something that went CLINK! on the floor. So that whenever it walked, you could hear it's cute little silver claws going "ting ting ting!"
And then when it was housebroken you could knit it some booties.
