I actually almost like the background I made more than the pic of Liara hahaJust sort of a mellow, almost melancholy scene. Maybe she's remembering Shepard?

Man, if a single picture could capture the very essence, the very fabric of who Liara is, you just did it my friend. Her face is so expressive, I've always loved that about her. I know a lot of people talk about how hot Miranda is, but I don't think she holds a candle to Liara, although I don't see Liara as "hot." I see Liara as beautiful, through and through. Seriously. Everything about this picture just makes me remember all those beautiful moments in the game with Liara, all the shy looks, the tenderness and caring she shows Shepard in every conversation, the compassion, etc., etc. If I didn't know anything about Mass Effect, I would fall in love with it and want to play it just on this damn picture alone. The background is even perfect. It matches her personality beautifully. Soft, yet vibrant and full of complexity. If I could fave this picture like a thousand times, I would. Bioware really created something incredible in this character. I have never so fully loved a character in a game, not ever. And it helps that her voice actress was absolutely perfection. Okay I need to stop now.

Actually, large part of her personality can be described by 3 words: deeply introverted scientist. Not that they are completely rare, the problem is meeting such people (it is not so easy to find them even at scientific conferences... and just bragging into a lab or wherever they work is not the way to become friends either... usually) and getting to really know them (they gladly discuss scientific matters, but such introverts tend to avoid personal questions).
Of course, there are other nuances (and Liara does have some other relatively rare traits), but good luck even getting close to that (it's pretty realistic how it took the entire trilogy to fully show her personality). Just remember what circumstances it took for Shepard and Liara to meet and get to know each other.
On the bright side, if such person forms an emotional attachment it's a really strong attachment. To the level when even just friendship (and sometimes it can form from a rather brief encounter) can be confused with romantic interest (like how Liara speaks about Feron... and doesn't really notice that this may make Shepard jealous - she didn't mean anything like that)

I think if someone like her existed in real life, she wouldn't be able to safely live on Earth lol! She'd have too many fangirls trying to marry her! XD I am definitely one such fangirl. Once you go blue, there's nothin' else you can do! XD So I writeΒ femshep/Liara fanfics so I can live vicariously through FemShep. XD

But seriously, yes haha. The first time I saw that saying ("once you go blue...") I was like 'wtf are these people on about' since IΒ had kaidan as my first LI (I know, silly past-me, didn't know what I was missing out on). But then IΒ romanced Liara... Loooord is she a goddess hahaha. Fell in love right away haha. I agree with the writing fanfic part haha, I've started my first femshep/liara story.

Lol I am 1Syphira! I'm writing "A Gift For You, My Commander," right now. I'm knee deep in a crazy wild party. It's getting out of control fast. XD I never romanced Kaidan, but I did romance Traynor. I'll never do that again. I got so pissed at her when she told Shepard to "Suck it up Princess." I still haven't forgiven her for that. I mean for god's sake, Shepard was looking for comfort and that stupid idiot tells her to suck it up??? Liara gave her love and support if you romance her. So screw Traynor. Grr.

The background is kinda awesome ^^, *sigh* I really hate that I had to kill shepard .... twice!! Although in my own fanfic universe he eventually survived the 'synthesis'-ending so all is well
